        PEREIRA


Pereira is a city in a mountainous region of coffee in western Colombia, famous for its coffee. In it is the Plaza de Bolivar, has a statue of the hero of independence Simón Bolívar naked on horseback, on the other hand we have The Caesar Viaduct Gaviria Trujillo is a suspension bridge over the Otún River. The Pereira Art Museum hosts guest exhibitions.
Among the best restaurants in the city we find "Tottes", "Caminito" and "Castillo vino y parrilla". To spend the best nights in the heart of the coffee axis we have the "Hotel Soratama", "Sonesta Hotel Pereira", "Hotel Castilla Real" or the "Hostal Hacienda Malabar".

To the south of Pereira we find, the Botanical Garden has diverse species of flora and birds as well as in the east and the southeast of the city we have several natural parks among them we find.

             The Otún Quimbaya fauna and flora sanctuary is a wooded reserve with abundant flora and               birds, as well as howler monkeys and tapirs.
        The Cócora Valley has tall wax palms, a national symbol, in which rare yellow oreji parrots inhabit.
      Los Nevados National Park is known for its towering snowcapped volcanoes and trout     fishing on Lake Otún.
Southwest of Pereira we enjoy the National Coffee Park which has its own plantation with an observation tower that also has trails and a museum.
